The Identification Department of the National Police announced an ambitious plan to streamline the procedures for issuing ID cards and passports, with the aim that documents can be delivered within a maximum period of two hours.
According to intervenor Rubén González, the project will become operational starting next month, marking an important advance in the modernization of public service. For his part, the Technology Director of the Ministry of the Interior explained that the initiative will include a comprehensive reorganization of offices nationwide, incorporating new technological tools and processes to improve efficiency and citizen service.
