Paraguay consolidates itself as one of the world’s leading Bitcoin mining centers

In a global context marked by the expansion of the digital economy, Paraguay positions itself among the world leaders in Bitcoin mining, reaching third place globally.

According to the most recent report from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge, the country concentrates 3.4% of Bitcoin mining activity, surpassing nations such as Norway (2.8%) and Kazakhstan (2.6%).

The ranking continues to be led by the United States, with a 75.4% share, followed by Canada, which reaches 7.1%.

This progress reflects Paraguay’s growing attractiveness as a strategic destination for the installation of technological operations and energy infrastructure, driven by its availability of clean and competitive energy.
